The Lüsenstal, a picturesque side valley of the Sellraintal in Tyrol, shows its most beautiful side in winter. Covered with a blanket of white snow, the valley offers winter sports enthusiasts a fantastic panorama. Where hikers enjoy the untouched nature in summer, cross-country skiers and ski tourers are particularly attracted in winter.
Well-prepared trails for cross-country skiers and numerous routes for ski tours make the Lüsenstal a hotspot for winter sports enthusiasts, although in the case of ski tours it is more for advanced and expert skiers. The view of the surrounding mountains gives winter sports in the region a very special character.
In winter it is particularly important not to underestimate the danger of avalanches. Ski tourers should always exercise caution and should only venture into the mountains accompanied by experienced tourers or professional mountain guides. They know the current conditions and can therefore ensure maximum safety.

Directions: The Lüsenstal is easily accessible by car. From Innsbruck the journey takes around 40 minutes to the paid car park in Lüsens. There are two larger parking spaces along the street. The first (Moos car park) is particularly suitable for longer tours deep into the valley. The second (Westfalenhaus car park) is located at the end of the street and is an ideal starting point for shorter trips. Attention: When driving to Lüsens, make sure to turn left off the main road so as not to accidentally drive to Praxmar. The route is well signposted.
