The Lüsenstal, a side valley of the Sellraintal, offers a particularly impressive walk. From the parking lot in Lüsens, after a short hike upstream, you reach an impressive backdrop with a view towards the Lüsener Fernkogel and the Rotgratferner.

Hiking at the end of the Lüsenstal

You can walk relatively flat towards the huge rock face and experience a landscape that would otherwise only be seen by alpine mountaineers. Some caution is recommended: especially in wet weather, you should pay attention to the risk of flooding, falling rocks or mudslides.

Path along the mountain stream

Arrival and parking: By car from Innsbruck approx. 40 minutes to the chargeable car park in Lüsens. There are two larger car parks along the road, with the first (Parkplatz Moos) allowing a longer hike to the end of the valley. The second (Parkplatz Westfalenhaus) is at the very end of the street and almost at the end of the valley. Attention: At the end of the road in the direction of Lüsens you have to turn left off the main road, otherwise you will drive to Praxmar. The place is signposted.
Weather: Even in summer it can get cold, so take a weatherproof jacket with you.
Inn: Near the parking lot is the Alpengasthof Lüsens.
