Information regarding Parking Piller See at the end of the page.
The lake Pillersee impresses with numerous narrow, crystal-clear tributaries that meander through the flat valley and finally flow into the lake. Because of this unique backdrop, the Pillersee is a "Diamond Tirol".
From the public parking lot at the edge of the village of St. Ulrich am Pillersee, you can walk to the lake on a variety of paths along crystal clear streams. The lake itself can be circumnavigated on foot or by bike, but it is a longer walk (about 8 km).
In summer you can splash in the tributaries or swim in the lake, but the Pillersee is one of the colder lakes in Tyrol. The water has temperatures of around 17°C even in summer. A fee is often charged for swimming/lying around the lake.
