The mill village of Gschnitz is a museum village in Tyrol with a focus on water mills. It is located at around 1300 meters above sea level in the Gschnitztal.
In the midst of a breathtaking landscape, visitors see the water-powered mills, including a grain mill and a blacksmith shop.
Directly above the mill village is the impressive Sandes waterfall, which can be crossed over a high bridge during a tour of the mill village. Inhaling the aerosols of the Sandes waterfall is said to strengthen the immune system.
If you don't want to go up to the bridge, you can watch the waterfall from the viewing platforms in the Mühlendorf and breathe in the healthy air in peace.
