St. Ulrich am Pillersee

St. Ulrich am Pillersee is a village and municipality in the region of Kitzbühel. Due to its privileged location directly on the Pillersee lake, the village is a popular destination for excursions in summer.

The Pillersee is one of the most beautiful but also one of the coldest bathing lakes in Tyrol. If you don't dare to jump into the water, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery on a walk along the lake shore and its crystal-clear tributaries.

The region has been inhabited since the 11th century and today lives mainly from agriculture. The parish church of St. Ulrich am Pillersee from the 15th century is also worth seeing.

St. Ulrich am Pillersee offers numerous activities not only in summer but also in winter. The picturesque surroundings of the Pillersee Valley are ideal for winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The cross-country ski trail that leads around the lake and offers an impressive view of the snow-covered mountains is particularly popular. For families, there are gentle toboggan runs and small ski lifts nearby that are ideal for children and beginners. Traditional festivals and markets are held regularly, where regional products and handicrafts are presented and visitors get an insight into the local culture.
