Information regarding Parking Pillersee at the end of the page.
The Pillersee impresses with its numerous narrow, crystal-clear tributaries that wind through the flat valley and finally flow into the lake.
From the public parking lot at the edge of the village of St. Ulrich am Pillersee, you can walk to the lake on a variety of paths along crystal clear streams. The lake itself can be circumnavigated on foot or by bike, but it is a longer walk (about 8 km).
The Pillersee is idyllically nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Kitzbühel Alps and attracts nature lovers all year round. The lake is a popular destination for hikers, cyclists and those seeking relaxation, especially in summer. In addition to a refreshing but cool swim in the lake, you can also enjoy the peace and quiet and marvel at the unique alpine flora and fauna. The paths around the lake offer breathtaking views of the crystal-clear water and the surrounding mountains. With a little luck, you can observe animals such as deer or rare birds in the early morning hours.
In summer you can splash in the tributaries or swim in the lake, but the Pillersee is one of the colder lakes in Tyrol. The water has temperatures of around 17°C even in summer. A fee is often charged for swimming/lying around the lake.
