Laponesalm in Tyrol

The area around the Laponesalm in the Gschnitztal is a particularly impressive landscape. The Laponesalm can be reached from the "Feuerstein Gschnitz car park" in around 60 minutes on foot. Alternatively, you can order a transfer (Alm Taxi) from the car park to the alpine pasture at the Laponesalm. Many visitors ride their e-bikes from Gschnitz to the alpine pasture. The alpine pasture can also be reached by regular bike, although the path is quite steep in two places.

Hiking at the Laponesalm

If you are travelling on foot, you can travel on the road or on a hiking trail through the alpine landscape. On the way to the alpine pasture you will come across the traditional Tyrolean Grey cattle, which outnumber other cattle breeds in the Gschnitztal. Warning: feel free to take photos, but do not get too close.
