Going am Wilden Kaiser is a well-known place in Tyrol. The breathtaking view of the Wilder Kaiser and the lovingly designed town center make Going a popular destination. Going am Wilden Kaiser is, together with Ellmau, Scheffau and Söll, one of the Kaiser towns in the Wilder Kaiser region.
There are many hiking opportunities in the Going area, always with a wonderful view of the Wilder Kaiser. In summer, the Goinger bathing lake is a popular excursion destination for families. In winter the region is ideal for cross-country skiing and downhill skiing.
The parish church of Going am Wilden Kaiser originally dates back to the 14th century and was renovated in the 18th century. It is imposingly located on the outskirts of the village and is integrated into the mountain scenery.
The village square in Going is or was the filming location for the television series “Der Bergdoktor” and is therefore heavily frequented by series fans.

Directions & Parking: If you arrive by car, there is a large car park at the entrance to the town. However, even this large car park can be full on weekends and holidays. From the car park, you can reach the town centre in just a few minutes on foot.
The swimming lake is about 1.5 km from the town on the other side of the main road.
