The village of Mils is about 10 km from Innsbruck, in a sunny location surrounded by fields and a breathtaking mountain landscape.
Whether arriving by bus or car, it is advisable to park (or get out) in the town center and explore the town and the surrounding area on foot.
While walking, it is worth getting to know the "Place to the Three Oaks", where farmers in the 10th century allegedly came across an image of the Mother of God while cutting wood. The portrait no longer exists and today there are two oaks and an ash tree at the "Platz zu den Drei Eichen".
