The church in Leiblfing is one of the most photographed churches in Austria. The reason is the imposing location on a hill with the mountains in the background.
The image of the church is characterized by the rare church tower: the tower has an onion dome and at the same time a slender top. This special feature arose during a renovation in the early 18th century.
The church has been documented since the 11th century. The church has been rebuilt, renovated and expanded many times over the centuries. In 1891 the church finally became a parish church.
