The perfume market historically segments perfumes into men's and women's perfumes. Below we present a list on the topic of men's perfume - popularity. At the end of this page there is a short explanation of why perfumes are divided into men's and women's perfumes.

Why are there perfumes for men and women? The reason is not the scientific finding that women and men have different fragrance preferences due to their biological characteristics. The distinction is based on a marketing strategy: perfumes are marketed through affiliation, identification and symbolism. The clearest example of this is Channel No. 5: the icon Marly Monnre is still an inseparable symbol of the perfume Channel No. 5. For this reason, the perfume is rarely worn by men, except by those who do not believe in gender distinctions. The same applies to men's perfumes such as Aqua de Gio and Davidoff Cool Water, which are marketed with images of men.
As perfume manufacturers have, over the past few decades, assigned certain scents to men and others to women, certain fragrance lines have become culturally established as appropriate for men or women. Just as there is no scientific evidence that the classification of boys and girls into blue and pink makes biological sense, there is also no clear evidence that men prefer certain scents.
That is why we at Diamant Tirol are looking to a future in which gender segregation will become less and less important. Our Diamant Tirol Eau de Parfum does not follow the law whether it is for men or women, but is aimed at all those who identify with our concept of freedom and limitlessness.
