The Sillschlucht gorge is an impressive river landscape in the immediate vicinity of Innsbruck. A hiking trail leads through the forest along the Sill river and offers beautiful views and rest areas.
The Sill is rather cold and not really suitable for swimming. In summer, however, you can refresh yourself and relax on the banks or walk along the river through the impressive landscape. You cross footbridges and small bridges and enjoy the view of the gorge and the surrounding area.
Attention: The Sill river has strong currents in various places. Hikers also often fall while hiking (especially at night) because it is a gorge. The safety tip: Only on marked paths and only in daylight!

Hiking trails:
1) In the area of the Tivolistaium there is a large bridge over the Sill river. From here a path leads along the Sill into the gorge. When you get to the highway there is a bridge over it. Unfortunately this path is currently somewhat affected by the construction of the Brenner tunnel and you have to cross a construction site.
2) The path from Tirol Panorama will probably be closed until the end of 2024 due to construction work on the Brenner Tunnel: This path begins at the Tirol Panorama car park. If you are arriving by car, you can park there. Or take tram line 1 from the city center to the Bergisel terminus and from there walk a few hundred meters to the Tirol Panorama. The walk from Innsbruck city center to the Tirol Panorama car park takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
