Mieminger Plateau

The Mieminger Plateau in Tyrol, also known as the sunny plateau, is home to one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tyrol. The plateau is particularly popular with walkers because you can stroll flatly through the landscape without having to climb steep inclines.

The Mieminger Plateau is approx. 14 km long and therefore offers many starting points for hikes. Here are some suggestions:

1) Parkplatz Sonnenplateau (parking): From here, a comfortable hiking trail leads to the Stöttlalm restaurant in 25 minutes or just before the restaurant further uphill. It is the most beautiful hiking route, but parking spaces can fill up quickly on weekends and public holidays.

2) Parkplatz Wildermieming car park. This parking lot is located in the forest above Wildermieming. From here you can take a leisurely stroll along a road at the edge of the forest (below the parking lot) or hike through the forest into the mountains. Caution: The parking lot is below a river bed with some steep slopes. Those who climb up through the forest should be careful not to get too close to the river bed.

3) Parking at Moosalm restaurant From there, a comfortable circular path leads in about 30 minutes through fields and meadows or somewhat steeper through the forest.

4) Spielplatz Wildermieming playground (source path). The playground offers a beautiful view of Wildermieming and the surrounding area as well as some parking facilities. For parents with small children, the playground is a small oasis in a breathtaking landscape. From here a comfortable walk along the village road to Wildermieming is possible.
