Jahrhundert urkundlich erw\u00e4hnt, stammt jedoch h\u00f6chstwahrscheinlich aus dem Ende des 12. Jahrhunderts. Eine kurze Wanderung f\u00fchrt vom Waldparkplatz an der Ruine vorbei zur nahe gelegenen Romediuskirche, neben der sich auch ein gutes Gasthaus befindet. Besonders bei Sonnenuntergang ist der Blick von der Ruine spektakul\u00e4r. F\u00fcr Geschichtsinteressierte gibt es Informationstafeln, die mehr \u00fcber die Geschichte der Burg und der Region erz\u00e4hlen. Auch bei Fotografen ist der Ort sehr beliebt, da er zahlreiche Fotomotive bietet.
