Er ist von Mayrhofen aus \u00fcber eine schmale Mautstra\u00dfe in ca. 25 Autominuten erreichbar. Wer mit dem Auto anreist, muss gleich am Anfang des Stausees beim Gasthaus Wasserfall parken. Von dort aus kann man zu Fu\u00df entlang einer Privatstra\u00dfe bis zum Talschluss wandern. Wie ein Schleier f\u00e4llt der Wasserfall am gegen\u00fcberliegenden Ufer in die Tiefe. Der Stillup Stausee wurde im Jahr 1966 erbaut. Er dient der Energiegewinnung und dem Hochwasserschutz im Raum Mayrhofen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Wanderung entlang des Stillup Stausees bietet atemberaubende Ausblicke auf die umliegenden Berge und die zahlreichen Wasserf\u00e4lle, die ins Tal st\u00fcrzen. Im Sommer ist der Weg bei Familien und Naturliebhabern sehr beliebt, da er gut ausgebaut und leicht begehbar ist. Vor allem im Sommer empfiehlt sich eine fr\u00fchzeitige Anreise. Aufgrund der zahlreichen Engstellen auf der Mautstra\u00dfe kann es auch zu Staus kommen.
